We all have things that we want to escape, and our views of how to do this vary. This week Cheri Lucas Rowlands is challenging us to show how we escape. Lately my escape is appreciating the beauty around me. Can’t wait to see and/ or hear how you escape!

Beautiful lei.

Plumeria: pretty wherever they fall.

Freshly planted.

Summer swells makes Aloha Friday happy for surfers on Oahu’s South shores today.

Capturing the sea spray made me happy and grateful. “Lucky I live Hawaii.”

Hawaii is the only state I haven’t visited. It’s ruining my perfect record. Hope to visit some day.
It is worth visiting although I understand why some don’t. Getting here can be expensive and unlike some islands, the bargains are not plentiful. Still, hopefully one day you’ll make it.
When we were coming back from Tokyo we were supposed to layover at the Air Force base but when we left the military airstrip at Yokota was being redone so we had to fly commercial to San Francisco. I got to see it as we flew over, but that was it 😦
Beautiful! 😉
Mahalo. Glad you like it.
